Based on Saroo Brierley’s autobiography A Long Way Home, Lion takes you on an emotional journey as a 5 year old Indian boy (Sunny Pawar) follows his brother Guddu (Abhisek Bharate) to work and they arrive at a train station, where Saroo stays and await Guddu’s return. When Guddu does not return, Saroo searches for him and boards a train which departs the station before he can get off. He falls asleep in an empty train car and is taken 1600 km from home to Calcutta.
